Has your search engine changed? - Has your home page changed? - Do you get strange search results? Annoyed by increased pop-ups? Do you have an unwanted toolbar in your web browser?

Browser extensions can be much more dangerous than most people realise. These small tools often have access to everything you do online, they can capture your passwords, track your web browsing, insert advertisements into web pages you visit, and more. Popular browser extensions are often sold to shady companies or hijacked, and automatic updates can turn them into malware.

Check your browser extensions Now! for any of the following or any unwanted extensions cluttering your browser,  Ask Search, My Way Search, Recipe Search, Maps Galaxy, File Finder, PDFtoDOC, My Transit Search and many more. Remove these as soon as possible.

We recommend you remove any browser extensions you do not recognise or want.

Google Chrome:

Open Google Chrome, click the three dots at the top right , click "More tools" click "Extensions". On to the extension you want to remove, click "Remove". Watch for a pop-up screen and confirm by clicking "Remove".

Microsoft Edge:

Open Microsoft Edge, click the three dots at the top right, click "Extensions". On to the extension you want to remove, click "Remove". Watch for a pop-up screen and confirm by clicking "Remove".

Mozilla Firefox:

Open Firefox, Click the three horizontal lines at the top right and click "Add-ons" from the drop down menu, on Extensions delete the unwanted extensions by clicking "Remove." Watch for a pop-up screen and confirm by clicking "Remove".
